My name is Pauline Matthews and I live in West Wales. I was brought up in the little hamlet of Gwbert not far from where I live now and I spent many hours exploring the beaches and rocky inlets.

Later on I lived in North Pembrokeshire and saw some of that beautiful county. From that time came my love of rivers and trees.In my working life I was a therapist working in the NHS and my role depended on my awareness of colour and perception.

I moved back to Ceredigion and retrained as a Counsellor using my creative skills in working with images with my clients.

It is a beautiful part of the coast between the Port of Fishguard and the University town of Aberystwyth. My partner and I, and our dogs, walk a lot with our cameras and take photographs as we go. I specialise in Seascapes and spend a lot of time standing in the sea waiting for 'that special wave'. You will see some of them on my website.

I have always taken my camera with me and I undertook some training when digital photography became known. I loved the immediacy of it. I also took some time to learn more about Photoshop and found that Digital Art is certainly my forte. I use this now to make up my special Greeting Cards.

This year in 2012 I am mindful of people having to be more careful with their money. So I am making and selling fridge magnets, keyrings and coasters with my photographs on.I am happy to make these up using your spcial photos if you email them to me.

I am always enthusiastic about undertaking commissions to take a photograph of your special place or to make up a special picture or card that will be a happy momento for  the future.
